Friday Twin Day!

Today's theme is love!!! We had a "good vibes" workshop and charades game with Rabbi Dov about  the deeper meaning of Tishabaav falling on Shabbos and what we can learn from it... Ask us about the story of the father and son and their coat ;)

Thursday Drum Circle and More!

Creative girls got rhythm and beat! We had a great time using African djembe drums learning base and tone beats and dancing really cool African dances with Ms. Benita and Gabrielle of Chiku Awalli African drum group!  We learned some African history and how the drums are made from goat skin and othe materials natural to Africa. What fun! 

Group yellow got to decopauge   Bisamim Boxes which we can't wait to share with our families!

In art were finishing up some projects and starting new ones!

Tuesday & Wed Highlights!

Maralin taught us how to do macrame frienship bracelets! 

Crocheting is getting easier now with more practice...

Elephants anyone? 

We learned the shading and tinting techniques and created a seascape painting inspired by American artist Edward Hopper. We learned how to make 3d houses and learned that this famous artist lived in Rockland not far from where we are in the town of Nyack.
